DataFlow · primary source verification

DataFlow came back negative? Don't open a new application.

DataFlow does not check your documents. It writes to the people who issued them and waits for an answer. A report comes back as Verified, Unable to Verify, or Discrepancy. The last two stall your application until resolved, and the cause is almost always one you can fix.

Do this first

Appeal the report you already have

You are entitled to one free re-verification through an appeal on dataflowstatus.com within 180 days of the report. There is a charge if new documents are needed. Under the SCFHS (Saudi) contract, the first re-verification of an "Unable to Verify" document is also free.

Before you appeal, find which of the seven causes below it was, and supply the missing contact or document with the appeal.

The seven causes, and the fix for each

  1. The employer or university does not respond

Phone HR or the registrar, tell them a DataFlow request is coming, and give DataFlow the name, email and direct line of the person who will answer it.

  2. Employment dates don't match the licence, a previous report or your CV

Reconcile every date across all documents. One wrong month is a discrepancy.

  3. Your name is written differently on two documents

Get a name-change certificate or sworn affidavit and upload it with the application, not after the query.

  4. The institution has closed or merged

Get your records from the successor institution or the ministry of education, and tell DataFlow which body now holds them.

  5. The experience letter is signed by the wrong person

Letters must come from HR or the medical director, on letterhead, with contact details. A ward manager or a colleague won't do.

  6. Scans are unclear or the letter of authorisation is unsigned

Colour scans, every page, every stamp. Check the letter of authorisation status before you pay.

  7. The title you applied under differs from your certificate

Apply under the exact title printed on your certificate. Titles are not translated for you.

Keep the checklist for when you submit

The seven causes, the appeal rules and the four days before you submit, on two printable pages. We'll also email you when a regulator changes a rule.

If you haven't submitted yet: the four days before

Day 1Phone your university registrar and every HR department. Warn them a request is coming and collect a named contact for each.
Days 2–3Reconcile dates and names across every document, and fix anything that differs.
Day 4Submit DataFlow. Watch dataflowstatus.com and reply to any request for clarification within days, not weeks.
15–25working days, DataFlow's official standard from payment and a complete submission (14 on the express service).
30–60working days, what prep companies and forums report when an institution is slow to reply. Budget two months.
After DataFlow

Verification is step one. The guide covers the rest.

Eligibility, every regulator's steps and fees for the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain and Kuwait, the exams, an eight-week study plan and eight worksheets. 49 pages, every figure sourced and dated.
